Why was jiraiya not revived

Edo tensei is an imperfect resurrection which is why Madara used black zetsu to force obito to use Rinne rebirth. He revived and used a teleportation frog summon. Amado used cyborgs to defeat him again and take his dna or modify his body and brain.

Kabuki wanted to bring back Jiraiya. But he didn't have any of his DNA. I assume this jutsu works the same way. Actually Kabuto said he could revive Jiraiya and Shisui from the remaining blood on Pain's Rods and Danzo's body but Obito warned him to not push his luck.

Even if it was, Jiraiya would just die over again. Besides, Pain only revived people in the village. Kashin Koji is a lot like Jiraiya so something might have happened.

Maybe he did get revived but his condition was so critical that he needed a new body then amado found him and turned him into kashin koji. Also why didn't Kabuto make an Edo Tensei Jiraya? I mean his DNA should be all over the place, through blood, hair and other bodily fluids. But realistically, they just wanted him to stay dead, showing the vulnerability of characters is very important within story writing.

Best we got rn is Koshin Koji. Jiraiya wouldn't be back anyways if nagato could. The reason kishimoto killed him off was so that Naruto would know what it was like to lose a father. That's also why he wasn't reanimated in the war.

I'd assume no for now though. Jiraiya is underwater, and with the concept of exactly how much time has passed to get from Jiraiya dying to Nagato reviving people, I'd say the smell and state of decomposure from being underwater would be awful. His body was at the bottom of a large body of water, where the pressure was too strong for anyone to reach his corpse.

It was said that Nagoto wasn't able to revive people after a certain time period had passed or if they were too far away, even if he was in the rain village idk if he'd be able to seeming as the lake was extremely deep And if he was revived he would be able to escape with his toad summons. When Nagato was doing the Rebirth justu, Konan said that if he did the jutsu while he was in the state he was in, he would certainly die My question is, if Nagato was healthy and wasnt fighting a whole village, he should be able to revive people and not die right?

Also, theoretically yes nagato couldve revived jiraiya but when he revived the village, i believe it was said he could only revive people who had recently dies. So maybe if as soon as jiraiya was killed he could be revived, but not at the time the village was being revived.

He said he could revive everyone that he killed when he got there and after I remembered because I had the same question. Even if Jiraiya was revived, it would have destroyed the impact of his death and would have ruined it.

Not really cuz he can revive multiple persons whithin like 20 mins of their death Not arguing with those facts but this is a Ninja show where they cab breathe on the moon so Or they could just reverse summon back to the land of frogs. Well yeah but… not with five metal rods piercing through them tho. Well only after 72 hours usually. Did the revival happen after 72 hours? He was missing an arm so if he could do the signs and summon with one hand sure.

Yeah, but there's also the fact that he might not have been able to do the hand signs. I always wondered why there was an ocean by the Hidden Rain when they were an inland nation? I thought he just went unconscious?? I didnt know he died.

Kakashi died of having not chakra, he hadnt any holes. Jirayas' body was at the bottom of some deep ocean and miles away. Jiraya wakes up several hundred feet deep. Drowns and dies again. That was only one place in the hidden rain and it could have just been surrounded by deep lakes. I like to believe it's a chakra thing. Madara just violates the rules in general, though. Possibly but retrieving his body would've been hard. Time meant the time he had before death.

Some speculate that Koji could be Jiraiya's son, while others claim that Koji and Jiraiya are somehow one and the same. It's also possible that Kashin Koji is a clone of Jiraiya, since Kara are heavily involved in genetic manipulation and the concept of clones has already been introduced in Boruto via the Shin character. Whoever Kashin Koji eventually turns out to be, the reveal could potentially help explain why Kabuto didn't resurrect Jiraiya.

If Koji is a clone of Jiraiya or an artificially-created son in the style of Mitsuki and Orochimaru , this would suggest that Kara had already collected up the Toad Sage's DNA for their own use, leaving Kabuto with nothing to work with. Kara have been operating in secret for years, and artificially creating fighters appears to be their chief recruitment method.

Obviously, if Kashin Koji is Jiraiya this would also retroactively account for why Kabuto couldn't resurrect him - one has to be dead before they can be reanimated, after all.

Finally, even if Kashin Koji is confirmed to be Jiraiya's natural child kept secret all these years, the character in his youth might've already rounded up his father's DNA, perhaps to prevent Kara using it against him. Even Fukasaku and Pain thought he was dead when his heart stopped. It was nothing personal, but just business. Jiraiya knew the risk the moment he step foot in the Rain Village.

Jiraiya could had easily left with the information he had before Pain had the opportunity to kill him. Nagato decided to kill him because he was a threat to his ambition.

Overhaul I'm the bad guy. Too busy banging dead chix in the underworld to be bothered. HookedOnSonics New Member. Kabuto had suggested to Tobi that the weapons used by the Six Paths of Pain might have enough blood for him to use in order to resurrect him, but Tobi shut him down on that suggestion. He never died Zumoku Zabuza Addict. Revy said:. Guess being under water your safe.

Why not revive the Third Kazekage, see some Iron Sand action. Yakkai Domming Your Mom. If revived, he'd be immune to STDs and couldn't get girls pregnant. He'd be off the battlefield and with the honeys in 30 seconds tops. Eliyua23 Well-Known Member. His Death Was Too Epic. Jiraiya would have been too important to dismiss after a brief 3 chapter battle like Nagato and the various Kage, but his story was too finished for him to play a large role.
